No. 31 - Detour #01

 Wandering, wondering. Am I going forward? Or does this long detour leads me back to where I started? Online Play Link Detour rule (From  Eric Fox's Dictionary of Rulesets ): Draw a loop that goes through every cell. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. A number indicates how many times the loop turns inside the outlined region.

No. 30 - Heyawake #03

    ...This place is kinda dusty, huh. Online Play Link Heyawake rule (from  Nikoli ): A rectangle, bordered by bold lines, is called a “room”. Fill in cells under the following rules. The numbers indicate how many painted cells there are in a room. Rooms with no number may have any number of painted cells. White cells cannot stretch across more than two rooms in a straight line. Painted cells cannot be connected horizontally or vertically. White cells must not be separated by painted cells.

No. 29 - Hotaru Beam #01

      Everything ends up in a loop... Online Play Link Hotaru Beam a.k.a. Firefly rules (From puzz.link ): Draw a line from every firefly to make one connected network. A black dot indicates where each firefly's path must start. A path cannot connect directly between two black dots. Paths cannot branch, cross or go through another path or firefly. A number indicates how many turns the firefly's path makes before reaching a firefly (possibly itself). Paths starting from empty circles can make any amount of turns.

No. 28 - Guide Arrow #01

    Haven't touched this site cause of other stuff like "real life" and "distractions". Let's hope I still remember how to make a puzzle. This one is kind of a two-trick pony though. Online Play Link Guide Arrow rule (From puzz.link ): Shade some cells on the board. Shaded cells cannot be horizontally or vertically adjacent. All unshaded cells on the board form an orthogonally connected area. Unshaded cells cannot form a loop. This includes 2x2 squares. Cells with a clue cannot be shaded. An arrow indicates the only direction in which one could begin a path to the star without going through a shaded cell or backtracking. (This genre was invented by Inaba Naoki.)

    So you know how when I'm kinda stressed I use making puzzle as an escape from reality? On an unrelated note here's a big Masyu. Online Play Link Masyu rule (From  Nikoli ): Make a single loop with lines passing through the centers of cells, horizontally or vertically. The loop never crosses itself, branches off, or goes through the same cell twice. Lines must pass through all cells with black or white circles. Lines passing through white circles must pass straight through its cell, and make a right-angled turn in at least one of the cells next to the white circle. Lines passing through black circles must make a right-angled turn in its cell, then it must go straight through the next cell (till the middle of the second cell) on both sides.

No. 26 - Yajilin #01

Me, trying to force intended logic: Yes... ha ha... YES ! Also me, hit with unresolvable uniqueness problem: Screw this I'm out. Online Play Link Rules of Yajilin (from puzz.link ): Shade some cells on the board, and draw a single loop that goes through all remaining cells. 1. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. 2. Shaded cells cannot be orthogonally adjacent. 3. Cells with numbers or question marks cannot be shaded, and are not part of the loop. 4. A number indicates the amount of shaded cells in the given direction.

No. 25 - School Trip #03

Well this might be a bit too hard, but I had fun setting it so good luck. Online Play Link  (Edit: Oops the link was wrong) Rules of Shugaku (School Trip) (Translated from  this site ): 1. Place numerous 1 by 2 blocks (futons) onto the board (vertically or horizontally). In addition, put a □ (pillow) in one of the squares for each futons. If the futon is placed vertically, the pillow must not be on the upper half (north-facing pillows are considered bad luck). 2. Futons cannot be laid on the circles (pillars). 3. If there's a number in the pillar, it indicates how many  pillows  are adjacent to its 4 sides. 4. All squares that are not covered with either futons or pillars are considered aisles. Each futon must touch at least one aisle square on one of its sides. 5. All aisles must be connected. The aisles cannot form a 2 by 2 square.

No. 24 - Tatamibari #01

 Logic puzzle is a mistake. Online Play Link Tatamibari rule (From  puzz.link ): Draw lines over the dotted lines to divide the board into regions. 1. Each region contains exactly one clue. 2. A vertical line indicates that the region is a rectangle where the height is larger than the width. 3. A horizontal line indicates that the region is a rectangle where the width is larger than the height. 4. A plus sign indicates that the region is a square. 5. Region borders must not form 4-way intersections.

No. 23 - Shikaku #01

  How I escape from responsibilities and other stuff: make random logic puzzles. Therefore if you see me posting more of these, it means that I should really be doing other stuff like sleeping or working on stuff that actually matters. Online Play Link Shikaku rule (From  Nikoli , with some modification): Divide the grid into rectangles along the grid line. Each rectangle would contain only one black circle.  If there is a number in the black circle, it shows the number of cells in the rectangle. Otherwise, the rectangle can be any size.

How to make a logic puzzle: Step one sprinkle stuff randomly. Step two modify it to make it look better. Repeat until your solver of choice says there's only one solution.  I hate being sick. Puzzle Link Rules (From puzz.link ): Shade some cells on the board to form islands. 1. All regions contain exactly one island, which is an orthogonally connected group of shaded cells. 2. A number indicates the size of the island in the region. 3. Shaded cells cannot be adjacent across region borders. 4. Two regions which share a border must have islands of different sizes.

 Wow three puzzles in a day? That's a shocker. (Also wow themed?) Online Play Link Kurotto Rules (From Nikoli ): Color some cells black with the following rules. The number in a circle indicates the sum of the number of continuous black cells extending from it, vertically and horizontally. Empty circles may have any number of black cells around them. Cells with circles cannot be colored.

(Note: All Country Road on this blog, unless specified, goes through every room exactly once ) Online Play Link Country Road Rule (Roughly translated from Nikoli ): Make a single loop with lines passing through the centers of cells, horizontally or vertically. The loop never crosses itself, branches off, or goes through the same cell twice. A region, bordered by bold lines, is called a "room". The loop goes through each room exactly once . Once the loop leaves a room, it cannot return to the same room. The number in a room represents how many cells does the loop passes through in that room. For rooms without numbers, the loop can pass through any number of squares. Squares that are not visited by the loop must not be vertically or horizontally adjacent to each other across a thick line.

 What can I say, I like this genre. Online Play Link Shakashaka rule (from  Nikoli ): Place black triangles in the grid under the following rules. There are four kinds of black triangles you can put in the squares: You cannot place black triangles in the black squares. The parts of the grid that remain white (uncovered by black triangles) always form a rectangle or a square. The numbers indicate how many black triangles are around it, vertically and horizontally.

 To prove that I can make 3 posts in one day. (I heard that this one was apparently kinda hard?) Online Play Link Nurikabe rule (from Nikoli ): Fill in the cells using the following rules. You cannot fill in cells containing numbers. A number tells the number of continuous white cells. Each area of white cells contains only one number in it and they are separated by black cells. The black cells are linked to be a continuous wall. Black cells cannot form a 2×2 square or larger.
